N’Golo Kante is close to completing a transfer from Chelsea to Al Ittihad, with the French international set to sign a two-year deal worth £172million. Kante has been a mainstay of the successful Chelsea sides which have won a series of major honours since his arrival from Leicester seven years ago. However, due to injuries, he was forced to miss last December’s World Cup and was restricted to just nine appearances for Chelsea last season.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku is reportedly keen on joining the Saudi Pro League, with talks scheduled with Al-Hilal over a potential €50m move. The Belgium international enjoyed a successful loan spell at Inter last season, but had no intention of returning to Chelsea, despite the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino.
