PSG Could Steal Chelsea’s Top Targets for Managerial Role

Chelsea may miss out on their top targets to replace Graham Potter, as PSG is also ready to bring in a new manager. According to RMC Sport, the Parisians are looking to replace Christophe Galtier after what has been a disappointing season for the club.

Despite being top of Ligue 1, PSG were comfortably knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich in the last 16. As a result, the French side is looking to replace their current manager and is rumored to have a five-man shortlist of targets. The list features a host of star managers from all across Europe.

PSG is reported to be interested in attracting one of Julian Nagelsmann, Zinedine Zidane, Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho, and Luis Enrique to the Parc des Princes. The impressive list will come as a hammer blow to Chelsea, who themselves are said to be prioritizing a move for Julian Nagelsmann or Luis Enrique.

After Potter was sacked by the Blues on Sunday, owner Todd Boehly could now face stiff competition to land his first choice coach. The London club has had a torrid season as they sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table with only ten games remaining. Despite their shocking league form, they’re still in the Champions League and will face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals in the coming weeks.

However, they want to make sure the next man in is the right one so may rely on caretaker boss Bruno Saltor until the end of the season. Nagelsmann was sacked as Bayern Munich boss recently and was replaced by former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel. Luis Enrique was let go from his position as Spain’s national team manager in December following a disappointing World Cup campaign.

The competition for top managers is fierce, and it remains to be seen who will come out on top. PSG has a lot of financial muscle, and they could use this to their advantage. Chelsea, on the other hand, has a history of success and could use this to attract top talent.

It’s not just the managerial position that is up for grabs at Chelsea. The club is also looking to strengthen its squad in the summer transfer window. They have been linked with a host of top players, including Erling Haaland, Declan Rice, and Jules Kounde.

Haaland is one of the most sought-after players in Europe, and Chelsea is reportedly willing to pay up to £150 million to secure his services. Rice is another player who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with reports suggesting that Chelsea is willing to offer West Ham United up to £80 million for the midfielder.

Kounde is a highly-rated center-back who currently plays for Sevilla. He has been linked with a move to Chelsea, with reports suggesting that the Blues are willing to pay up to £50 million for his services.

It remains to be seen who will come out on top in the race for top talent, but one thing is for sure – both Chelsea and PSG are looking to make big moves this summer. The competition between the two clubs could be fierce, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
