Chelsea Set to Sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United for £20 Million
Chelsea are set to complete the signing of Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams after triggering a £20 million release clause in the American’s contract. The Yorkshire club signed Adams from RB Leipzig 12 months ago for a fee of around £19 million.
However, Adams has made it clear that he wants to leave Elland Road following the club’s relegation to the Championship. The 24-year-old, who is known for his tenacity out of possession, has a £20 million release clause in his contract. And Sky Sports say Chelsea triggered that clause on Thursday, with Adams set to undergo a medical in the next 48 hours.
Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo
It comes after Chelsea submitted a £48 million bid to beat Liverpool to the signature of Romeo Lavia. Southampton are believed to be holding out for £50 million for the midfielder, having rejected three proposals from Liverpool.
Chelsea remain keen to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton but the club are not moving from their £100 million valuation of the Ecuador ace. The Blues have submitted two bids for Caicedo, the last of which was around £80 million.
