    Charlton face Brighton in the Carabao Cup fourth round tonight as the Seagulls return to action after the World Cup break. 

    Roberto De Zerbi’s side will be aiming to kick-start the second half of the season after they ended the first by beating Arsenal 3-1 to progress in the cup.

    They come up against League One opposition in the Addicks who have just appointed Dean Holden as their new boss.

    This will be the first meeting between the two rivals since Brighton’s 3-1 Championship win in April 2016.

    This Carabao Cup fourth round tie will take place on Wednesday, December 21. 

    Kick-off at the Valley is scheduled for 7:45pm.

    Goalkeeper Joe Wollacott remains out of action for Charlton after picking up a finger injury but Terell Thomas and MIles Leaburn will return. 

    Brighton will have newly-crowned World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister unavailable as he and Argentina continue their celebrations back home. 

    While Leandro Trossard and Robert Sanchez could be involved after their early eliminations from the competition in Qatar.
