Champions League Group-Stage Draw: Everything You Need to Know
The Champions League group-stage draw takes place in Monaco on Thursday as Europe’s elite wait to find out their fate. The draw will be held at 5pm GMT and the 32 teams who have qualified for the group stage have been split into four seeding pots.
Pot 1 Teams
Pot 1 includes last season’s Champions League winners Manchester City, the Europa League holders Sevilla and six domestic champions. Pots 2 to 4 are determined by UEFA’s club coefficient rankings.

As usual, the top two teams in each Champions League group will advance to the round of 16. The third-placed sides in each group move to the Europa League knockout round play-offs, where they will face the Europa League group runners-up for places in the last 16.
