Celta Vigo wants £35m release clause for Gabri Veiga from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Celta Vigo have informed Arsenal and Liverpool that they must meet the €40 million (£35m) release clause if they want to sign midfielder Gabri Veiga. The two Premier League clubs are among those interested in the 20-year-old, who has also attracted attention from Newcastle United and Real Madrid. Veiga has been a standout performer for Celta Vigo this season, with nine goals and three assists in La Liga so far. Celta Vigo’s president, Carlos Mourino, confirmed that four Premier League clubs are interested in Veiga and admitted that his side is unlikely to be able to keep the midfielder this summer. Mourino also denied a reported approach from Real Madrid but insisted that Veiga’s release clause must be met in order for a transfer to take place.
