# Manchester City Beat Burnley 3-0 in Premier League Opener
Manchester City kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 3-0 victory over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Goals from Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland sealed the win for the reigning champions, who looked dominant throughout the match.

## Burnley Struggle to Create Chances
Burnley struggled to create chances throughout the match and were unable to find a way back into the game. The Clarets had just one shot on target in the entire match and were unable to test goalkeeper Ederson.
Despite the result, head coach Sean Dyche was pleased with his side’s performance, saying they had competed well and had been unfortunate not to get something out of the game.
## Kompany Believes Burnley Will Get Better
Manchester City head coach Vincent Kompany was full of praise for his side’s performance, saying they had been “excellent” throughout the match. He also believes that Burnley will get better as the season progresses.
“Burnley will get better,” said Kompany. “It was an interesting game for us because we learned a lot from it. We knew it was going to be tough and we had to be at our best to get the result.”
