BT Sport will undergo a summer makeover this July 2023, changing its name to TNT Sport ahead of the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season. The move comes after BT Sport was bought by Warner Bros Discovery, the global mass media conglomerate, which also owns Eurosport. The rebranding is designed to streamline the TNT Sports brand and to transform BT Sport into a premium offering for customers. Andrew Georgiou, managing director of WBD Sports Europe, said: ‘The TNT Sports name is already synonymous with premium live sports in a number of countries around the world and a further sign of the global scale and expertise that WBD brings to the partnership with BT.’ Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer Division, said: ‘We’ve announced that we’re making another important move in our plans with Warner Bros Discovery to bring together the best of BT Sport and Eurosport under one roof.’ Once the merger with Eurosport has been completed, a whole host of the biggest sporting action will be shown under the same roof, including the Premier League, Champions League, Olympics, MotoGP and boxing. Any potential price changes have not yet been revealed to existing subscribers of BT Sport. For now, BT’s name will simply change to TNT Sport with no new channel numbers to get used to.
