Wrexham’s League Two Match Against Forest Green Postponed Due to Waterlogged Pitch
Wrexham’s highly anticipated League Two clash with Forest Green has unfortunately been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. An official statement from the Welsh side confirmed the news, stating that following a pitch inspection in the morning, it was determined that the pitch was unplayable.
The heavy downpour of rain overnight rendered the pitch unplayable, leading to the cancellation of the match. The pitch inspection, conducted at 11:30am, confirmed the unsuitability of the playing surface.
Details regarding the rescheduled fixture and ticket information will be communicated to fans in due course. However, it has been confirmed that all supporters who traveled on Official Supporter Travel will be provided with free transport to the rearranged fixture.
The announcement left fans devastated, with one person expressing their frustration on Twitter, stating, “Imagine if the EFL actually cared about the fans and ensured inspections were done in a timely manner! Pathetic.”

Another fan added, “Stuck on the M54 for no reason then, absolutely brilliant,” while a third person criticized the lack of consideration for traveling fans, stating, “Should have called it off earlier, no thought for us traveling fans.”
A disappointed American fan on a train commented, “Forest Green v Wrexham is postponed. A lot of disappointed Americans on this train.”
Unfortunately, Wrexham’s match is not the only one affected by adverse weather conditions. Four other League Two fixtures have also been postponed this morning.
