# Brighton 1-1 Fulham: Seagulls Boss Roberto de Zerbi Says His Side “Lost Two Points”
Brighton and Hove Albion were left frustrated after their 1-1 draw with Fulham at the Amex Stadium on Saturday. The Seagulls had taken the lead through Danny Welbeck’s first-half strike, but the visitors fought back in the second half to earn a share of the spoils.
After the match, Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi said his side had “lost two points”. He said: “We had a good first half and we deserved to be ahead. We had chances to score more goals and we should have done better in the second half. We lost two points.”
The result means Brighton have now gone four Premier League games without a win, and they remain in 16th place in the table. Fulham, meanwhile, are still searching for their first win of the season, but the draw lifts them off the bottom of the table.
## Brighton Take the Lead Through Danny Welbeck’s Strike
Brighton started brightly and took the lead in the 33rd minute when Danny Welbeck fired home from close range. It was the former Manchester United striker’s first goal since joining the Seagulls in October, and it gave them a deserved lead at the break.
However, Fulham fought back in the second half and equalised in the 68th minute through Ivan Cavaleiro’s header. The visitors then pushed for a winner, but neither side could find a breakthrough and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
## Roberto de Zerbi Frustrated With Result
After the match, Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi was left frustrated with the result. He said: “We had a good first half and we deserved to be ahead. We had chances to score more goals and we should have done better in the second half. We lost two points.”
De Zerbi also praised his side’s performance, saying: “I’m proud of my players because they played really well. We created chances and we were unlucky not to win.”
## Fulham Still Searching for First Win of Season
The draw lifts Fulham off the bottom of the table, but they are still searching for their first win of the season. Manager Scott Parker said: “It was a good point for us. We showed great character to come back from a goal down and I’m proud of my players.”
