Brighton Set to Demand ‘At Least’ Same Fee as Declan Rice for Moises Caicedo Transfer
Brighton have set a high asking price for Moises Caicedo, with the Seagulls reportedly demanding that Chelsea match whatever fee West Ham receive for Declan Rice this summer.
Chelsea are the front-runners to sign the Ecuador international, with the Blues in ‘final negotiations’ over personal terms. However, they are yet to agree a fee with Brighton, who are now said to be demanding at least the same amount as Rice.
Arsenal had been in the race to sign Caicedo but dropped out, leaving Chelsea as the only club in contention for his signature. The Blues are hoping to offload players before they make any more signings, though, and are waiting to see what happens with Rice before they make their move.
Rice has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, but Manchester City have since entered the race for the England international. The Gunners’ opening bid of around £80m plus add-ons was rejected by West Ham, while United are still interested but their takeover battle could scupper their chances.
