Bayern Munich Withdraws Interest in Kieran Trippier, Sets Sights on Nordi Mukiele
Bayern Munich has decided to end their pursuit of Kieran Trippier from Newcastle United. The German champions had their initial offer of €8 million rejected and followed up with an improved bid worth €15 million, which was also turned down by Newcastle. Bayern’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, confirmed that the club will not submit another offer and is now focusing on signing an alternative.
In an interview with Sky Germany, Freund stated, “We only do what we are 100 per cent convinced of, that’s what we’ve always said. All parameters have to fit for the player, for us, and for the selling club, and that wasn’t the case.” When asked about the possibility of signing Paris Saint-Germain right-back Nordi Mukiele, Freund simply replied, “Yes.”
Meanwhile, Newcastle United is in talks with Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab over a £30 million deal for Miguel Almiron. The 26-year-old midfielder has been a key player for Newcastle and the club is looking to secure his services.
In other news, Bayern Munich is now targeting a deal for Nordi Mukiele. The 26-year-old right-back has made 35 appearances for PSG since joining in 2022. Bayern sees him as a suitable alternative to Trippier and is hopeful of securing his signature.
