Manchester United will have to pay around £22 million if they want to sign Marcel Sabitzer this summer. The midfielder joined United on deadline day in January following an injury to Christian Eriksen. Sabitzer has impressed with his spirited displays and eye for goal, and has suggested he wants to stay at the Theatre of Dreams. Bayern Munich have set an achievable asking price for the Austrian, and Erik ten Hag is set to have a limited budget this summer following his £220m outlay in 2022. Ten Hag will spend the bulk of that on a centre forward, with Harry Kane top of his wishlist, but Sabitzer is available for a cut-price fee of around £22m, which could fit into Ten Hag’s existing plans. Declan Rice is also a target for United, but West Ham want around £100m, which the Red Devils could not afford without significant departures.
