Arteta Praises Brighton, De Zerbi

Mikel Arteta has been very impressed with Roberto De Zerbi and his Brighton side ahead of their match against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday. Arteta praised De Zerbi for maintaining the high standards set by Graham Potter before he left to manage Chelsea, and even improving the team, making them a more potent attacking threat. Arteta said that watching Brighton play is a ‘joy’ and that De Zerbi has brought ‘a different idea and different challenges for managers’ to the Premier League. He also praised the club for their clear vision and their ability to pick up bargain signings like Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister. Arteta said that Brighton have done ‘extremely well’ in the way they have handled, made decisions, developed players, recruited talent, and set up the club.
