Arsenal Reject Crystal Palace’s Enquiry for Eddie Nketiah in January Transfer Window
According to reports, Arsenal has turned down an initial enquiry from Crystal Palace for striker Eddie Nketiah. The Gunners are currently searching for a new striker and have informed Palace that the England international is not available.
Arsenal is firm in their stance that Nketiah will not be leaving the club in January. However, this could change depending on any incoming business from Mikel Arteta’s side in the winter window.
Crystal Palace has been interested in Nketiah for a while and is in the market for a new center-forward. The 24-year-old is Arsenal’s top scorer in the Premier League this season with five goals. However, he often faces limited game time and plays second fiddle to Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal has also been linked with bringing in a new striker to improve their chances in the title race. Nketiah’s future with the club may depend on whether Arteta and Edu are able to secure a new center-forward in January.
The Gunners have been linked to Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. However, it may be challenging for Arsenal to sign a high-value striker in the upcoming window. If they are able to acquire a game-changing forward, it is more likely that Nketiah will be allowed to leave.
Crystal Palace will be among the teams interested in signing Nketiah if he becomes available.
