Despite Bayern Munich expressing their interest in signing Declan Rice, Arsenal are still the favourites to secure the midfielder’s signature, according to talkSPORT. While the German giants have made their intentions known to Rice’s camp, they believe he is more likely to remain in the Premier League. Rice has also reportedly spoken to Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel.
West Ham manager David Moyes has admitted that there is a “good chance” the club will lose Rice this summer. Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with the 24-year-old, but Arsenal are currently leading the race to sign him.
Rice has had another impressive season with West Ham, helping them reach their first European final in 47 years. The Hammers will face Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final on June 7. Rice is focused on finishing the season with West Ham before considering any transfer offers.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is expected to be backed in the summer transfer window and Rice, along with Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, are heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, have had a tough season by their high standards, having been knocked out of the DFB-Pokal and Champions League quarter-finals. They did, however, secure their 11th straight league title last weekend.
