The Premier League title race took a further twist at the weekend when Arsenal let another two goal lead slip at the London Stadium against West Ham. Manchester City, who are on an imperious run of form having won their last ten games in all competitions, are now just four points behind Arsenal with a game in hand and boast a superior goal difference. The two title challengers meet in a titanic game at the Etihad on April 26, where Arsenal will be looking to record their first league win over City since 2015. Here is a look at Arsenal and Manchester City’s fixtures in the Premier League run-in.
Arsenal’s remaining fixtures include four games at the Emirates which could give them a vital boost as they hunt down their first Premier League title since 2004. They face Southampton this week, followed by Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Wolves.
Manchester City’s hunt for their third consecutive league title is complicated by their continued involvement in the Champions League and FA Cup. They are heavy favourites to progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League and have Sheffield United awaiting in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. Their remaining Premier League fixtures include home games with West Ham, Leeds and Chelsea, as well as trips to Fulham, Everton, Brentford and Brighton. Aside from their clash with Arsenal, the long journey down to face Brighton in their game in hand looks particularly troublesome. City are specialists in holding their nerve in the business end of the season, collecting 145 points in the final ten games of the previous six campaigns combined – more than any other team in the league.
