Emile Smith Rowe, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney all took part in Arsenal’s training session on Tuesday.

Mikel Arteta’s side have finished their pre-season tour of the United States and have now returned to London to continue their preparations ahead of the new campaign.

Arsenal are now due to play Brentford in a behind-closed-doors friendly at London Colney on Wednesday before they take on Sevilla at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Ahead of the fixture against Brentford, Arteta has been handed a boost as Tierney, Smith Rowe and Tomiyasu all trained at London Colney on Tuesday.

Tierney and Smith Rowe were unable to play any part in Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the United States due to injury, while Tomiyasu has not featured at all this summer.

However, new £34 million signing Fabio Vieira was still absent as he continues to recover from a foot injury.

‘Fabio probably a little bit longer,’ Arteta said of Vieira on Saturday.

‘I think he needs another week or so before he starts with the team but he’s been working hard and he’s been really unlucky to start his Arsenal career in this way but again he’s fitting in well.’

Arsenal’s Premier League campaign begins against Crystal Palace on August 5.

Arteta’s side will be full of confidence following their 4-0 victory over Chelsea in Florida at the weekend.

But the Arsenal manager has warned supporters not to get carried away.

‘Yes, but it was a friendly match,’ Arteta said.

‘As you could see there are a lot of positives to take from the game. The way we played, the intensity we showed, the way we were trying to show who we are as a team. But at the same time, it’s just a test match. Don’t get carried away.

‘There are still a lot of things that we have to get better at, and do better.

‘But I think it’s good to get some momentum, finish the tour in the right way, give some enjoyment to our fans and everybody that’s been contributing to make this tour happen.

‘Now it’s time to go back to London, to focus and keep making improvements and steps forwards.’
