Arsenal Fans Show Support for Mesut Ozil’s Dig at Tottenham

Arsenal fans have once again expressed their love for Mesut Ozil after he took to social media to mock their rivals Tottenham, referring to them as ‘Bottle Job FC’.

Tottenham’s Struggles Continue

Tottenham suffered a 2-1 defeat against West Ham on Thursday night, extending their winless streak in the Premier League to five matches.

Concerning Statistics for Tottenham

One alarming statistic for Ange Postecoglou’s side is that they are the first team in Premier League history to go winless in five consecutive matches despite taking a 1-0 lead in each game.

Additionally, Spurs have become the first team to lose three successive home games after taking the lead in all of them.

Ozil Mocks Tottenham’s Poor Form

Rival fans wasted no time in reveling in Tottenham’s poor form, with Mesut Ozil joining in by criticizing their inability to hold onto leads.

“Who else should be able to break that record? Bottle Job FC is back,” the former Arsenal midfielder said on social media.

Ozil’s post received a wave of praise from Arsenal fans, with one fan commenting, “You own them, king,” alongside a laughing emoji.

“Once a Gooner, always a Gooner,” added another fan with a heart emoji.

A third fan expressed their disbelief, saying, “I thought this was a parody. MESUTTTTTT.”

Arsenal Fans Unite in Mocking Tottenham

Another Arsenal fan joined in the mockery, saying, “Let’s all gather here to laugh at Tottenham Hotspur,” accompanied by several laughing emojis.

Ozil, who made ten appearances in the North London derby for Arsenal, scoring one goal and providing three assists, left the club in 2021. He retired from professional football in March after playing for Fenerbahce and Istanbul Basaksehir.

Currently, Arsenal sits at the top of the Premier League, a position previously held by Tottenham this season. The two teams are now separated by nine points, with Tottenham still searching for their first win since the end of October.
