Arsenal Women’s Super League title hopes were given a major boost on Sunday after they came from behind to beat Manchester City 2-1. Hosts Arsenal were trailing 1-0 at half-time, but two second-half strikes from Frida Maanum and Katie McCabe secured the win for the Gunners.

The match began with City dominating the early stages, and they opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Ellen White found the back of the net. Despite City’s dominance, Arsenal managed to stay in the game and equalised in the 54th minute when Maanum fired home from close range.

The Gunners then took the lead in the 68th minute when McCabe scored from a free-kick. City pushed for an equaliser, but Arsenal held on to secure a crucial three points. The win sees Arsenal move up to second in the WSL table, just two points behind leaders Chelsea.
