Football Twitter remains undefeated after Tottenham’s 3-0 victory over Arsenal.
Spurs manager Antonio Conte had a pop at Gunners boss Mikel Arteta for complaining so much – but while some use words, others use Snapchat filters.
Arteta clearly felt aggrieved by the officiating of the north London derby after Cedric conceded a penalty and Rob Holding was sent off for two yellow cards within 33 minutes.
“If I say what I think I’m suspended six months,” the Spaniard said.
Many believed Arsenal were the architects of their own downfall as Spurs closed to within one point of their fourth-place rivals with two games to play.
And the internet was not about to let Arteta get away with more excuses for defeat.
A clip of the Spaniard delivering that post-match interview with a crying filter has since gone viral on Twitter…
Meanwhile, Conte echoed those sentiments, albeit in a more sophisticated way.
“He complains a lot,” the Italian said of Arteta.
“He has to focus more on his team. He has to focus more on his work. He has to continue to work because he’s a very good (coach). To hear someone complain all the time is not so good.
“At Liverpool (on Saturday) do you hear me complain about Fabinho and all the fouls? No. He can take my advice if he wants, but if not I don’t care.
“I listen and he complains a lot. I think that he has to be more focussed on his team and not to complain because he has just started his work. He has to be calm and try to continue to work. To listen to a coach complain a lot of the time is not good.”
