Arsenal are reportedly eyeing RB Salzburg striker Noah Okafor as a potential signing for around £25 million. The 22-year-old Swiss player scored 14 goals in 34 appearances for the Austrian outfit last season and continued his fine form ahead of the World Cup, netting 10 times in 20 games. His impressive stats have garnered interest from across Europe, with AC Milan and Inter Milan also monitoring his situation.

Okafor’s contractual situation means he could be available for a cut-price, as he will enter the final 12 months of his deal this summer. Salzburg are unlikely to command a fee representative of his stellar form, making him an attractive option for Arsenal, as well as fellow Premier League sides Tottenham and West Ham who are also keen on the forward.

The Switzerland international is predominantly a central striker but can also be utilised on both wings. Salzburg signed him from Basel in 2019 and have developed him in much the same way they improved Erling Haaland and Sadio Mane.

Arsenal may well be looking to strengthen their attacking options if Folarin Balogun departs at the end of the season. The Reims loanee has netted 17 Ligue 1 goals this term, but is still expected to return to the Gunners as third-choice behind Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

Okafor’s potential arrival at Arsenal would add depth to their attacking options, which have been lacking this season. The Gunners have struggled to find the back of the net consistently, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette both experiencing dips in form.

The addition of Okafor would provide competition for places and give Mikel Arteta more options up front. The Swiss striker’s ability to play on the wings would also give Arsenal more versatility in attack, allowing them to switch up their tactics when needed.

However, Arsenal will face stiff competition for Okafor’s signature, with AC Milan and Inter Milan also interested in the young forward. The Gunners will need to move quickly if they want to secure his services, as other clubs are likely to make their move soon.

Overall, Okafor would be a solid addition to Arsenal’s squad, providing depth and versatility in attack. His impressive form for Salzburg has caught the attention of clubs across Europe, and it remains to be seen where he will end up next season.
