Arsenal are reportedly preparing to make a new £75 million offer for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, after having failed with multiple offers in the January transfer window. The Gunners face competition from Chelsea for the Ecuador international, who has four years left on his contract. LondonWorld reports that Brighton’s stance has softened since January and they are now open to negotiating with Arsenal after making a promise to Caicedo. The midfielder’s agent, Manuel Sierra, has stated that Arsenal would be an attractive destination for his client.
Arsenal have also been given hope in their pursuit of West Ham captain Declan Rice, after the club’s chairman, David Sullivan, confirmed that Rice will be sold this summer after helping the club win the Europa Conference League. Sullivan stated that Rice had turned down a £200,000-a-week contract 18 months ago and it had cost him £10 million in lost wages. He added that it was not something they wanted to happen, but they could not keep a player who did not want to be there.
