Anthony Martial has been involved in a training ground bust-up with a Manchester United youth team player, it has been reported.
The French striker was training at Carrington when he was involved in a dispute with under-18 star Dan Gore.
According to the Daily Mirror, Gore clattered Martial with ‘a robust tackle’, which sparked a confrontation between the pair.
Martial ‘lashed out’ at the youngster who stood his ground against the 26-year-old forward, before the French star ultimately apologised for his part in the incident.
Ten Hag then intervened and told midfielder Gore that tackling first team players was off-limits.
Martial is expected to play a key role for United once their season resumes after the World Cup.
With Cristiano Ronaldo’s days at the club appearing numbered, the French forward could be handed a fresh opportunity to prove himself as Ten Hag’s most trusted forward.
The France forward had hoped that he might receive a late call to Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad following the late injury to Karim Benzema.
