Chelsea youngster Andrey Santos was recently spotted at Vasco da Gama’s match against Bovaista, with reports suggesting that he is set to join the club on loan for the remainder of the season. Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that the player will start training with Vasco this week and will return to Chelsea in July for the 2023/24 season.
Santos signed for Chelsea in January but is yet to play for the Premier League side due to him waiting for a work permit. During his time away from the club, he has been in action for the Brazil under 20s, helping them win the South American Championship by scoring a late winner against Uruguay.
The 18-year-old midfielder is highly rated and will be hoping to make an impression during his loan spell with Vasco. It is expected that he will return to Chelsea in July and will be looking to make his mark in the Premier League. Santos will be hoping that his loan spell with Vasco will help him gain the experience he needs to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
