Amazing Premier League statistics for 2022/23 season including Arsenal star’s bizarre record, the players who have scored more than West Ham, and Kevin de Bruyne matching Liverpool legend record in 287 fewer games

This Premier League season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet and we are only seven games in.

Erling Haaland’s signing made many fear Manchester City would waltz to the title, but that is far from happening. They aren’t even top of the league at the minute.

The Norwegian striker is smashing all kinds of goalscoring records, but their route to the title will be no easy feat.

There has already been two managerial sackings, while rock bottom Leicester might not be far away from adding to that number.

This new season has also thrown up some bizarre and unique statistics that range from the funny to downright bizarre.

Only two players have scored in 50 different Premier League games and never lost one – James Milner (54) and Gabriel Jesus (50).

Jesus has been a magnificent signing for Arsenal and his four goals this campaign have been a contributing factor to their top of the table status.

Arsenal have now won a Premier League away game against 48 out of the 49 different teams they have faced in the competition’s history – only Bradford remain undefeated.

The Gunners are unlikely to make this a clean sweep any time soon, with Bradford currently languishing in League Two.

West Ham are having a tough time having only scored three goals so far, which is fewer than EIGHT individual players this term. Gabriel Jesus (4), Alexis MacAllister (4), Wilfried Zaha (4), Rodrigo (4), Ivan Toney (5), Aleksandar Mitrovic (6), Harry Kane (6), Erling Haaland (11) have all scored more.

David Moyes is under real pressure at West Ham at the moment, with his side currently in the bottom three.

Of Arsenal’s last 12 goals, ten have been scored with a left foot – with the streak being broken during their 3-0 win over Brentford. Those other two goals, were both scored with headers.

Only seven players have ever scored a Premier League hat-trick after coming off the bench – with Heung-min Son’s the first since 2015.

The seven players are Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (1999), Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (2004), Robert Earnshaw (2005), Emmanuel Adebayor (2008), Romelu Lukaku (2013), Steven Naismith (2015) and Son (2022).

After seven Premier League games, Erling Haaland has already scored with his left foot, right foot, head, inside the six yard box, inside the penalty area and outside the penalty area.

Kevin De Bruyne has provided 92 Premier League assists, the same as Steven Gerrard, but has only taken 217 games, compared to the Liverpool legend’s 504.

De Bruyne is still a way off matching Ryan Giggs’ Premier League record of 162 assists

Ethan Nwaneri became the first ever 15 year old to play in the Premier League – Aged 15 years and 181 days, he surpasses Harvey Elliott (16y 30d) as the competition’s youngest ever player.

Since April 3, Wolves have scored four Premier League goals at Molineux. Manchester City have scored eight.

And there’s plenty more where they came from.
