Newcastle United’s Allan Saint-Maximin has taken to social media to share an emotional message about his struggles on and off the field during the past season. The winger has been a popular figure since joining the club in 2019, but he struggled to hold down a place in the starting XI and scored just one Premier League goal over the campaign. However, he revealed that he has been going through tough times off the pitch, losing “some really important people” and that he tried to play on regardless, even when injured. There have been rumours that Newcastle could be willing to sell Saint-Maximin this summer, and his post does little to dismiss those rumours. He thanked his supporters for their belief in him and promised to give everything until the end to achieve his dreams.
