Alabama Offensive Lineman JC Latham Declares for 2024 NFL Draft
Alabama junior offensive lineman JC Latham has announced his decision to enter the 2024 NFL Draft through an Instagram post on Wednesday. Latham, who is ranked as the No. 10 overall player on The Athletic’s Dane Brugler’s big board, had an impressive two-year tenure as a starter at right tackle for Alabama and was named a first team All-SEC selection in 2023.
Standing at an imposing 6-foot-6 and weighing 335 pounds, Latham has shown significant improvement throughout the 2023 season, playing a crucial role in leading the Crimson Tide to the College Football Playoff. While there are a couple of offensive tackles rated slightly higher, such as Notre Dame’s Joe Alt and Penn State’s Olu Fashanu, Latham’s size, performance, and potential make him a highly projected top-end first-round pick in the upcoming draft.
Latham’s declaration marks the first official announcement from an Alabama player regarding their draft intentions. Dallas Turner, an outside linebacker, has expressed his intent to enter the draft but has yet to make an official declaration.
