Al-Hilal Make Third Big Summer Signing with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal have made their third big summer signing, with the acquisition of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for a reported £34m. The 28-year-old Serbia international has signed a three-year deal with the club, owned by the country’s public investment fund.
Al-Hilal have been busy in the transfer window, spending £47m to sign Wolves captain Ruben Neves and a reported £17m on Chelsea centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly. Now, they have added Milinkovic-Savic to their ranks, with the Serbian having spent eight years with Lazio, scoring 69 goals in 341 games.
The club has been under new management this summer, with former Benfica boss Jorge Jesus taking the helm. The team has high ambitions for the season ahead, having won a record four Asian Champions Leagues and 18 Saudi titles – although they only finished third last season.
Al-Hilal’s Big Summer Signings

Ruben Neves
The first of their big signings was Wolves captain Ruben Neves, who joined the club for a reported £47m. The 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder has been a key player for Wolves since joining the club in 2017, helping them to promotion to the Premier League and two seventh-place finishes. He has also made seven appearances for his national side.
Kalidou Koulibaly
Al-Hilal then signed Chelsea centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly for a reported £17m. The 30-year-old Senegalese international has been a mainstay of the Blues’ defence since joining from Napoli in 2019, making 31 appearances in all competitions last season. He has also won 56 caps for his country.

Finally, Al-Hilal have added Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to their ranks. The 28-year-old Serbian international has spent eight years with Lazio, scoring 69 goals in 341 games. He has also won 49 caps for his country.
Al-Hilal’s Ambitions for the Season Ahead
With their three big summer signings, Al-Hilal will be looking to challenge for the Saudi title and success in the Asian Champions League this season. The team has won a record four Asian Champions Leagues and 18 Saudi titles – although they only finished third last season.
