From the initial groundwork in September 2021 to the completion of the new upper tier in June 2023, the transformation of the Anfield Road End has been remarkable.
The 300-tonne roof truss was a major milestone in July 2022 and it took two 600-tonne cranes operating at 164 meters high to be eased into place.
The new roof was then built before the old one was taken down at the end of the 2022/23 season.
The new pitch was laid in August 2023 and solar panels were installed on the roof.
The internal work remains ongoing and Liverpool are still planning for their opening home game to take place on August 19, against Bournemouth.
