The incident occurred at his parents’ home in the Paris region, where he was spending a few days. The police were called by Belfodil’s sister, who accused him of trying to strangle her. Upon arrival, the police found strangulation marks and scratches on her arms. Belfodil was questioned by the police at Elancourt and placed in custody. However, it is understood that the alleged victim has not filed a complaint yet. The Versailles prosecutor’s office has 48 hours to decide what to do with this case. Belfodil has played for 12 clubs in 13 years, including Inter Milan and Hoffenheim. He currently plays for Qatari club Al-Gharafa.
