The San Francisco 49ers Remain Favorites to Win Super Bowl LVIII Despite Loss to Baltimore Ravens
The San Francisco 49ers are still considered the frontrunners to win Super Bowl LVIII, according to BetMGM, despite their recent loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas. San Francisco (+240) maintained their lead, although they were defeated 33-19 by Baltimore, who was their closest competitor heading into Week 16. The Ravens (+400) managed to close the gap on the 49ers.
Third-Place Logjam
The Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, and Philadelphia Eagles are currently tied in third place with odds of +800. It may come as a surprise to see the Chiefs still in contention after losing three of their last four games, including a Christmas defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Dolphins secured a victory against the Dallas Cowboys, who are currently in sixth place with odds of +1000. The Eagles also emerged victorious against the New York Giants in Week 16.
NFL MVP Race Update
Following the Ravens’ win, there has been a shift in the NFL MVP race. Lamar Jackson has overtaken Brock Purdy as the favorite to win the league’s top individual honor after leading Baltimore to victory against San Francisco.

Chiefs? Really?
Oddsmakers seem to believe that the Kansas City Chiefs will regain their form once the playoffs begin, despite their recent struggles. Personally, I would be more inclined to trust the Buffalo Bills at +1100 than the Chiefs at this point. However, if there’s any team that can overcome a slump, it would probably be Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
